How to Play

Play Christmas Solitaire online for free. Christmas Solitaire is a holiday-themed timed Klondike Solitaire game where each column on the tableau has 3 cards dealt to it. As you progress through the game each level gives you one fewer tableau column to work with. Arrange the cards on the tableau in descending order while alternating colors & build the 4 suited foundations in ascending order before the level timers run out. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
Select Help to learn the game’s rules.
Select High Scores to view the game’s leaderboard.
Use the drop-down list on the bottom left corner of the screen to choose the game’s language.
Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - With your mouse, left click and drag the cards into position.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap and swipe on the screen with your fingers to move the cards into position.
    - Controls and indicators
      - The game’s controls and indicators are on the right side of the screen. From the top, they are as follows:
        Enlarge button: Lets you switch between windowed and full-screen modes
        Level number
        Timer
        Score
        Speaker button: Turns the game’s audio effects on and off
        Music button: Turns the game’s music on and off
        Pause button

        Deal
        Each column on the tableau consists of 3 cards, with the bottom card face up and the remaining cards face down.
        Tableau columns
        The first level of the tableau has 10 stacks, meaning 30 cards are dealt to the tableau and 22 cards are dealt to the stock.
        Each subsequent level you play has 1 fewer tableau stacks & 3 more cards dealt to the reserves.
        the fifth and final level has 6 tableau columns with 18 cards dealt to the tableau and the remaining 34 cards dealt to the reserves.
        Basic rules
        Move the cards from the tableau to the designated piles to the top right of the tableau.
        Cards on the piles must be arranged in ascending order from ace to king.
        Each pile consists of one suit.
        Aces are automatically moved from that pile to the next.
        Before moving the cards to their respective piles, you must arrange them in the tableau.
        The cards must be arranged in descending order (from king to two).
        Cards must be arranged in alternating colors.
        You can move entire groups of cards that are in the proper order.
        Move the card piles to reveal face down cards.
        Only kings and card groups with kings can occupy blank spaces on the tableau.
        Deal new cards from the closed deck to the top left of the tableau. You can cycle through the closed deck’s cards as often as you’d like.
        Cards will automatically move to the piles if they are in the right order.
        When you’ve arranged the cards in a way that you’ve already won, all the cards automatically move to the piles.
        Each level has a time limit. You must finish arranging the piles before the timer runs out.
        The game ends when you run out of time.
        When you fail even one level, your entire playthrough ends.
        Levels
        Levels are unlocked sequentially.
        You start the game on the first level.
        Finish one level to unlock the next.
        There are 5 levels in this game.
        The first level gives you 6:40 to beat it.
        Each subsequent level has a 20-second shorter time limit, meaning you have to beat the fifth level in under 5:20.
        Each time you reload the game, it asks you if you want to continue your previous progress:
        Select Continue previous game to reload the last level you unlocked.
        Select Start new game to clear your previous progress and start a new game.
        Strategy
        The reserves are dealt turn 1 and you can shuffle through them repeatedly, so it is almost always better to play cards from the tableau instead of cards from the reserves if you have a choice between the two.
        Only Kings or runs of cards starting with a King can be placed to an empty column position on the tableau, so do not overconsolidate other stacks when you do not need to if you already have an open space on the tableau.
        After all cards on the tableau are face up you can repeatedly quickly shuffle through the reserves to rely on the game’s autoplay function to play the cards to the foundations.
        Scoring
        Scoring is cumulative. The points you earned in one level carries over to the next.
        You earn 10 points for every card placed on a foundation, for a maximum total of 520 card-based points on each level.
        You also receive 10 points for every second remaining on the timer. If you play the game quickly most of your score will come from the remaining time.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Klondike Solitaire card games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
