How to Play

Play Sweet Mania online for free. Sweet Mania is a 25-stage timed cooking-themed connect 3 game. Form rows of 3 or more identical ingredients to clear them from the grid. Collect the required number of of each of the 3 ingredients before the 2 minute timer runs out to clear the level. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Start to begin.
Select the gear button on the bottom right corner to turn the game’s music and sound effects on and off.
Select the Facebook button to share the game with your friends on social media.
Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - With your mouse.
    - Left click to select any ingredient.
    - Left click on an adjacent ingredient to have them swap places.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - Tap on the screen with your fingers and use them as a mouse.
      - Controls and indicators
        On the top row are the following indicators and controls:
        On the top left is the level number.
        On the top center is the timer.
        On the top right is the pause button.
        Above the grid are the ingredients you need to collect.
        On the bottom row are power ups.
        Game Play
        Levels
        Levels are unlocked sequentially. Only the first level is playable when you start the game.
        The first level acts as a tutorial.
        Finishing one level unlocks the next one.
        Each level has a 2 minute timer, though on later levels you need to collect more of each type of ingredient to reach the level goal & the level layout is smaller.
        You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously unlocked to try to earn a higher star rating on it.
        Basic rules
        Match 3 or more of the same ingredients to clear them from the playing field.
        Select any ingredient, then select any adjacent ingredient to swap them.
        The swap will only be successful if the ingredient forms a row of 3 identical ingredients.
        The rows must be horizontal or vertical. They can overlap. Diagonal matches do not count, however.
        Collect all the ingredients outlined at the start of the level before the timer runs out.
        After a few seconds of being idle, the game will show you a hint.
        Star ratings
        To beat a level you need to reach at least one of your ingredient goals.
        Your star rating on each level matches how many ingredient goals you reached.
        As soon as you reach all 3 goals the level ends, even if you have time remaining.
        You can go back to prior beat levels to try to earn a higher star rating on them.
        Power ups
        There are 3 power ups in this game.
        Switch: Lets you move a pair of ingredients without needing to form a row
        Jello: Removes all instances of a single ingredient onscreen.
        Bomb: Removes all the ingredients onscreen.
        You start with one of each type of power up.
        Your powerups are replenished in every level you start.
        Strategy
        It is better to make matches lower down on the field so that you set chain reactions which make many other matches.
        While you are only required to match certain types of ingredients you are only limited by time rather than total move count, so it can be beneficial to make other runs of 3 in order to help clear them off of the board.
        Play for a period of time before using your power ups & wait to use them until it becomes harder to make matches. Then use the power ups with time spaced between each so you can get benefits of breaking up the playing field multiple times over rather than burning them all at once.
        If you are running short on time and have not reached any ingredient goals try to focus on whichever one you are closest to reaching.
        If you are struggling to earn more than 1 star on a stage continue through the game and then come back to it later.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like connect 3 in a row games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
