Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select New Game to begin anew.

        Basic
        
        Get to the other side of the level.
        
        Kill as many skeletons, ravens, and other enemies as you can.
        
        Collect coins, gems, and stars.
        
        Try not to lose all your lives or fall off a ravine.
        
        Enemies
        
        Attack the enemies to defeat them.
        
        Try to kill as many enemies as you encounter to bolster your score.
        
        To preserve your lives, we recommend ambushing your enemies from behind slowly.
        
        Flying enemies are hard to dodge and even harder to kill.
        
        Lives and dying
        
        You have 3 lives in this game, represented by hearts.
        
        Each time you make contact with an enemy or touch a row of spikes, you lose a life.
        
        Lose all your lives and it’s game over.
        
        You can collect a limited number of extra lives strewn throughout the level.
        
        There’s no way to save your progress mid-game. You either finish the level or you start over.
        
        If you fall of a chasm, you automatically die.
        
        Scoring
        
        Points
        
        Each coin is worth 325 points.
        
        Each gem is worth 1,000 points.
        
        Each star is worth 10,000 points.
        
        Slaying any enemy is worth 1,000 points.
        
        Star ratings
        
        Star ratings are independent of your score, but can influence it.
        
        The 30,000 point boost from earning a 3-star rating is crucial to gaining the highest possible score in the level.
        
        It is possible to earn a 3-star rating in 2 playthroughs yet have different total scores.
