How to Play

Play Mahjong Match online for free. Mahjong Match is a variant of Mahjong Solitaire based on everyday objects. Match pairs of identical or associated stones to clear them from the stack. Clear the entire stack before the level timer runs out & play through 25 fun levels. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select play to begin.
Select Help to learn the game’s rules and controls.
Select High Scores to view the leaderboard.
Use the drop-down list on the bottom left corner to select the game’s language.
Your web browser automatically saves your game’s progress.
Game Controls

      - The game’s controls and indicators are located on the right side of the screen. From the top, they are as follows:

        Levels
        Levels are unlocked sequentially.
        You begin a playthrough on the first level.
        Finishing one level automatically unlocks the next one.
        The game has 25 levels.
        Each time you reload the game, it gives you 2 options:
        Start a new playthrough. This clears your previous progress.
        Continue from the last level you’ve unlocked.
        Basic rules
        Select 2 identical or thematically tied stones to remove them from the stack.
        Stones with Chinese characters on them can be paired with identical matches.
        Stones with pictures on them can be paired another stone whose pictures are thematically associated with them. A few examples are as follows:
        Key and lock
        Car and fuel can
        Cigarettes and lighters
        Fork and knife
        Gun and bullets
        Saw and wood
        Mouse and keyboard
        Toothpaste and tooth brush
        Sun and moon
        Money and wallet
        Camera and photograph
        Pencil and checklist
        Only free stones can be paired.
        Free stones have no stone above them and at least one side (left or right) without an adjacent stone next to it.
        The game highlights the free stones.
        Remove the entire stack before the level’s timer runs outs.
        You start the game with 2 minutes and 23 seconds on the timer. Later levels have more stones and a longer time limit, with the timer increasing 11 seconds per level.
        You fail the level if you run out of time before clearing the whole stack.
        You can try again, if you want.
        You can also end the playthrough there. This lets you save your final score on the leaderboard.
        Scoring
        Your score is cumulative. The points come from every level you’ve played.
        Earn 100 points for every level you clear.
        After clearing the level, you also receive an extra 30 points for every second left on the timer.
        You can save your total score on the leaderboard through the following options:
        Finish all 25 levels.
        End your playthrough after a game over.
        Assistance
        Hints
        Select the hint button to highlight a valid pair somewhere in the stack.
        Each hint costs 300 points.
        Shuffles
        Shuffles change the arrangement of the tiles in the stack.
        Each shuffle costs 500 points.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Solitaire tile match games.
        While this game has a picture of a handgun with bullets in it as one of the tile matches it does not promote or condone violence.
        Other than the above the game has no adult themed content.
